Hey thanks for stopping by.
This piece has been a personal project I started many moons ago as a modelling project and another tribute to the War for Cybertron and Titans Return Series. I may have a slight obsession. Heavily inspired by the amazing SDCC poster and package art.
it's now morphed into a test bed for learning about comp, lighting passes and VFX. The 3D Models were constructed in Blender, textures were created in a mixture of Substance packages, the scene was assembled in the Unreal Engine and composited in Davinci Resolve.
The main piece runs in Unreal Engine 5.7 on a laptop GPU rendered in Lumen with no Megalights. The majority of Materials, Niagara VFX and Blueprints are scratch built / adapted heavily.
I had a couple of project goals, 1) One was to finish up a Game Ready Character piece and get everything working with Unreal Lumen and 2) To learn a bit more about Unreal's Movie Render Graph and assembling Unreal renders inside of Davinci Resolve.
There's lots left to work on and improve, I'd like to generate the VDB's in a future project and obtain a GPU that doesn't make lawn mower noise when using Path Tracer.
